Based in Northwest Philadelphia, Zachary Segal is the founder and owner of Thread Movement. He graduated at the top of his class at the National Personal Training Institute, and is a certified Master personal trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
His formal education includes Arcadia University (BA) and graduate work in Dance and Movement Therapy at Drexel University.
Zach is a proponent of adult learning and has immersed himself studying various physical disciplines over the past decade. He believes this variety enhances the quality of his trainings and the Thread Method. Physical disciplines Zach has studied include: Tai Chi, Kung Fu, Resistance Training, Capoeira, African Dance, Tap Dance, Yoga, Pilates, Alexander Technique, Gyrotonic, Franklin Method, Krav Maga, Hip Hop Dance, Feldenkrais Method, Kickboxing, Sprint Training, Boxing, Hiking, Dance/Movement Therapy, Resistance Stretching, Basketball, Qi-Gong, Pickleball, and Bboy.
Zach’s top goals as a trainer are to make his clients healthier by becoming better movers and having a more connected body. As his clients become stronger, flexible, more agile, erect and fluid, he instills body awareness into his client, thereby working to integrate mind and body.
